Winning an NBA championship is, without a doubt, the ultimate goal for every NBA player. And with competition between NBA players and their respective teams becoming more-and-more difficult year-over-year, attaining a championship ring has also become more difficult.

And while some NBA players have only been able to win one championship ring, others have been venerated in NBA history, winning four championships and amassing an impressive four championship rings.

Below, we are going to review the full list of all NBA players with 4 rings and review the specific season’s in which they were able to win each championship ring.

Vern Mikkelsen

Vern Mikkelsen was an NBA player and one of the first true power forwards to play in the league. Known for his tenacious and tough defense, he played 699 of a possible 704 games in his NBA career.

Vern was a six-time All-Star and a four-time Second Team All-Pro and was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 1995.

Having played for the Minneapolis Lakers for the entire duration of his ten-year career, Vern Mikkelsen won four NBA championships, including the 1950, 1952, 1953, and 1954 NBA seasons.

Frank Saul

Frank Saul was raised in Westwood, New Jersey and played college basketball at Seton Hall. However, after his freshman year, he left Seton Hall to serve for the United States Army for three years during World War II.

Drafted in 1949 in the NBA draft in the first round with the 10th pick by the Rochester Royals, he would win four consecutive NBA championships from 1951 to 1954.

Bill Sharman

Bill Sharman is a former NBA player and coach who is most widely known for his time with the Boston Celtics. Alongside NBA great Bob Cousy, the two were considered one of the greatest backcourt duos of all time.

And although he won four NBA championships as a player, he won an addition one as a head coach of the Los Angeles Lakers and an additional five championships as an executive for the Lakers.

Gene Guarilia

Another Boston Celtics player, Gene Guarilia played the majority of his college basketball career for the George Washington University team.

Selected by the Boston Celtics in the second round of the 1959 NBA draft, he would remain with the team for four seasons, all four of which the Celtics would win the NBA championship.

Jamaal Wilkes

A former basketball player who played the small forward position, Jamaal Wilkes was a three-time NBA All-Star and won four NBA championships with both the Golden State Warriors and the Los Angeles Lakers.

Nicknamed “Silk”, he was inducted into the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame in 2012.

Wilkes also had a notable college basketball career, playing for the UCLA Bruins. During his collegiate career, he was a two-time consensus first-team All-American and won two NCAA championships.

Drafted in the first round of the 1974 NBA draft by Golden State, he would be named the NBA Rookie of the Year and was instrumental in helping the team win the championship in his first year in the league.

Kurt Rambis

A former NBA player and coach, he is currently a senior basketball advisor for the Los Angeles Lakers. Kurt Rambis played for the Los Angeles Lakers during their famed Showtime era and was an extremely popular player due to his tenacious style of play.

Although Rambis played for the Charlotte Hornets, the Phoenix Suns, and the Sacramento Kings, he won all four of his championship rings with the Los Angeles Lakers, gaining four NBA rings in 1982, 1985, 1987, and 1988.

Robert Parish

One of the greatest and best basketball players of all-time, Robert Parish played 21 seasons in the NBA as a center. Having played 1,611 games in his time in the league, Parish was known for his strong defense, high jump shots, and clutch rebounding.

Playing the majority of his NBA career with the Boston Celtics, Parish would play alongside Kevin McHale and Larry Bird, forming what is widely considered the greatest front court in NB history.

During his time with the Boston Celtics, Parish would win three championships from five NBA finals appearances. And after both Bird and McHale retired, Parish would eventually join the Chicago Bulls, winning an additional ring in the 1996-97 season and making him the oldest player to win a championship.

Will Perdue

Will Perdue is a former NBA player who played for the Chicago Bulls, the San Antonio Spurs, and the Portland Trail Blazers.

Selected by the Chicago Bulls with the 11th pick in the 1988 NBA draft, he would win three of his four NBA rings with the Bulls, with the remaining one with the San Antonio Spurs.

John Salley

The first NBA player to win championships with three different franchises and the first player to win a championship in three different decades, John Salley was drafted in the first round of the 1986 NBA draft from Georgia Tech.

Winning two NBA championships with the Detroit Pistons in 1989 and 1990, he would win an additional championship with the Chicago Bulls in 1996, and his fourth, and final ring, in 2000 with the Los Angeles Lakers.

Horace Grant

Perhaps best known for his goggles, which he wore during play, Horace Grant is a four-time NBA champion, winning his rings with both the Chicago Bulls and Los Angeles Lakers.

Having attended Clemson University, he became the first player in ACC history to lead the league in scoring, rebounding, and field goal shooting. In 1987, Grant helped lead Clemson to the NCAA Tournament and was named ACC Player of the Year, becoming the first Clemson player to receive that honor.

Drafted by the Chicago Bulls with the 10th overall pick in the 1987 NBA draft, he would be instrumental in the Bulls’ championship runs between 1991 to 1993 and would serve as a more senior player with the Lakers in their championship run in the 2000-01 season.

Shaquille O’Neal

Shaquille O’Neal was one of the most dominant forces in the NBA during his career and was known for his interior, rough-and-tumble style of play on both the offensive and defensive ends of the court.

Currently an analyst on TNT’s Inside the NBA, Shaquille O’Neal is considered to be one of the best basketball players and centers of all-time.

Having payed for six teams over his 19-year career, he is a four-time NBA champion, winning three titled with the Los Angeles Lakers, alongside longtime teammate Kobe Bryant, and one NBA title with the Miami Heat in 2006.

Manu Ginóbili

An Argentinian professional basketball player, Manu Ginóbili has had a 23-year professional basketball career and is only one of two players to gave won a EuroLeague title, an NBA championship, and an Olympic gold medal.

Playing for the San Antonio Spurs for his entire 16-year NBA career, he was known as one of the “Big Three” on the team, alongside Tim Duncan and Tony Parker.

Credited for revolutionizing and reviving the “Euro step” move into the NBA, Manu Ginóbili would win four NBA rings, having won an NBA championship in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.

Tony Parker

A French-American basketball payer, Tony Parker played alongside Manu Ginóbili for the majority of his NBA career. Having started his professional basketball career in the French basketball league, Parker would join the San Antonio Spurs in the 2001 NBA draft.

Quickly becoming the starting point guard for the team, Parker would be named to six NBA All-Star games, three All-NBA Second Teams, an All-NBA Third Team and was named MVP of the 2007 NBA Finals.

And alongside Manu Ginóbili and Tim Duncan would win four NBA championships in 2003, 2005, 2007, and 2014.

LeBron James

One of the greatest basketball players of all-time and the only player on this list to potentially secure additional NBA rings and surpass the four he has now, LeBron James has taken the NBA by storm since his first pick draft selection in the 2003 NBA draft.

Having played for St. Vincent–St. Mary High School in his hometown of Akron, Ohio, James was heavily touted as the next big player to join the league.

Joining the Cleveland Cavaliers, he would leave to join the Miami Heat, where he would win his first and second NBA championships in 2012 and 2013. After opting out of his contract with the Heat, LeBron would rejoin the Cavaliers, leading the team to victory in 2016.

And in 2018, LeBron James would leave the Cleveland Cavaliers once more, signing with the Los Angeles Lakers and winning his fourth NBA ring in the 2020 season.

Steph Curry

To say the 2021-22 NBA season was a good year for Steph Curry would be an understatement. Having won his fourth NBA championship, Curry averaged 25.5 points per game while shooting 38% from beyond the arc.

Having won 4 NBA championships in 8 years, Stephen Curry and his Golden State Warriors have established a new NBA dynasty and one that is unlikely to be matched in recent years.

And having recently surpassed Ray Allen for the all-time three-point field goals made, Curry is set to establish himself as the single greatest pure shooter to play in the league.
