Born on July 24, 1964, Barry Bonds is universally recognized as an all-around player, having won the NL MVP award and 12 Silver Slugger awards. In addition, Bonds would hold 14 All-Star selection throughout his time in the MLB.
Derek Jeter
Derek Sanderson Jeter, or Mr. October, played the shortstop position for the New York Yankees. Born on June 26, 1974, Derek Jeter is one of the all-time greats to play for the Yankees. He was elected to the Baseball Hall of Fame in his first year of eligibility in 2020, receiving a whopping 396 of 397 possible votes, only the second-highest percentage in MLB history behind Mariano Rivera.
With his time with the Yankees, Jeter would win five World Series championships and is regarded as one of the primary contributors to their success in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Mariano Rivera
Another Yankees’ great, Mariano Rivera is a Panamanian-American and professional baseball pitcher who played 19 seasons in the MLB for the New York Yankees. Born on November 29, 1969, Rivera was nicknamed both “Mo” and “Sandman” and spent most of his career with the Yankees as a relief pitcher and a closer.
A thirteen-time All-Star and five-time World Series champion, Rivera is the MLB’s career leader in saves and games finished. He won five American League Rolaids Relief Man Awards and three Delivery Man of the Year Awards. Rivera was inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame as part of its class of 2019 in his first year of eligibility and was the first player ever selected unanimously to the Hall of Fame.

Yusmeiro Alberto Petit was born on November 22, 1984, and is a Venezuelan baseball pitcher. He played in the MLB for the Florida Marlins, the San Francisco Giants, the Arizona Diamondbacks, the Los Angeles Angels, and the Oakland Athletics. However, his greatest claim to fame came in 2014, when Petit retired 46 consecutive batters, setting a new MLB record.
