Frank Leboeuf

Frank Laboeuf played much of his Premier League career bald and did so gracefully. A multi-talented and faceted individual, Laboeuf is also a French actor and sports commentator. Having played the centre-back position, he would help the 1998 French national team win the 1998 FIFA World Cup and the 2000 European Championship.

Playing for 5 years for the venerated Premier League team of Chelsea, Laboeuf was noted for his long range passing abilities and for his consistent ability to take penalty kicks throughout his career. In fact, while with Chelsea, he took 20 penalty kicks, missing just three.

Brad Friedel

Brad Friedel, an American soccer coach, was also a former player who played as a goalkeeper for Tottenham Hotspur, Aston Villa, Blackburn Rovers, and Liverpool, amongst others. Having played 84 games for the United States national team between 1992 and 2005, he also represented the United States at three different World Cup tournaments.

Interestingly, Friedel is currently the Premier League record holder for most consecutive appearances with 310. He achieved this record during his time playing at Blackburn Rovers, Aston Villa, and Tottenham Hotspur.

In addition, when he last played for Aston Villa, he was their oldest ever player, a record set on February 1, 2011, when he was aged 39 years and 259 days old.

Steve Stone

Steve Stone is a former player and coach who worked and coached for Newcastle United from July 2010 to June 2015. One of the best bald Premier League players, he pulls off the look mightily and looks simply handsome with the hair shaved.

Born on August 20, 1971, Steve Stone was a right midfielder who most notably played for Nottingham Forest, Aston Villa, and Portsmouth. During his time with Forest he won the First Division title and played in the UEFA Cup. In addition, he also played in the 2000 FA Cup Final for Villa.

Lee Carsley

Lee Kevin Carsley is the current head coach of the England U21 team. Having played a 17-year career, he is perhaps best remembered for his time as a midfielder in both the Premier League and the Football League, with Everton and Derby County.

Joining the England youth setup in as a specialist coach in 2015, Carsley would first be appointed head coach of England U20 before being promoted to England U21.

Thomas and Peter Gravensen

Although younger brother Peter never made it to the Premier League, listing the two of them just goes to show that baldness is definitely hereditary.

Thomas Gravesen, however, was a former professional footballer and played the midfielder position. Playing professionally for Denmark, Germany, England, Spain, and Scotland, he was capped 66 times for the Denmark national team and scored five goals.

Gianluca Vialli

Gianluca Vialli has aged gracefully and come to terms with his new bald look. In fact, if you look for earlier pictures of him with a head full of hair, we honestly think he looks better bald and with the hair removed.

A former Italian football manager and player, he primarily played the striker position. However, since retiring from the game, he has gone into management, punditry, and most recently as a commentator for Sky Sport Italia.

Attilio Lombardo

Attilio Lombardo is another retired Italian footballer who also turned to management after his playing career. Currently the assistant manager for the Italy national team, he was widely utilized as a wide midfielder during his career.

Although a rather untoward nickname, he was often referred to as “Popeye” during his playing career due to his bald head and strong physique. In addition, he would also be nicknamed “the Ostrich” for his pace, stamina, and running style and later “The Bald Eagle” due to his lack of hair.

David Beckham

There is, perhaps, no soccer player more widely known for his hairstyle than David Beckham. Having sported the bald look, the tapered look, the long-hair, and the nearly buzzed off look, Beckham’s hairstyles have brought him international fame.

However, coupled with soccer greatness, Beckham has made himself an internationally recognized player on and off the pitch, with kids quoting their ability to, “bend it like Beckham.”

Whether you love him or hate him, truth be told Beckham was an amazing footballer and an even better personal marketer. He branded himself well and spoke through his actions both on the football field as well as off of it.

Zinedine Zidane

While technically not a Premier League player, we felt remiss to not include Zinedine Zidane on our list of the best bald soccer players. One of the all-time greats, Zidane sported the bald look far before it was in fashion.

Popularly known as Zizou, he was a French footballer who was known for his play as an attacking midfielder. In addition, he is known for his left-footed score in the 2002 UEFA Champions League game, which by many is considered to be one of the greatest goals of all time.

And though Zidane is often remembered for his notorious head-butt in the 2006 World Cup, he still managed to receive the Golden Ball as Player of the Tournament.
