The Kyrie Flytrap Nike Basketball Shoes are some of our favorite casual basketball shoes. Although the shoes come in a variety of colors, including white, red, and grey, we definitely prefer the black version, which pairs well with practically all clothing types and material.
The Kyrie Flytrap’s provide a more low-profile design and have a hook-and-loop strap which goes over the entirety of the shoe. Although the hook-and-loop strap is meant to help provide traction and stability on the court, it provides a cool, unique look to the shoe which will enhance your own look while wearing them.
And lastly, in true Kyrie fashion, the Nike Swoosh is emblazoned with stars and almost mythical lines. While we may not have the answer as to the meaning of those stars and lines, they definitely bring out more character in the shoe.
Adidas Men’s D Rose 773
If you want a pair of casual basketball shoes with a bit of flair, then you can’t go wrong with the Adidas Men’s D Rose 773. These shoes are designed for high-performance on the basketball court but can give you a unique, slightly conspicuous look while worn in everyday life.
With a slightly protruding profile, the D Rose 773’s are marked with black dots across the edge of the shoe. And almost as if protecting the shoe itself, those black dots are secured by a black edge across the top of the shoe. To call these shoes fashionable would be an understatement.
Nike Men’s Lebron Witness IV
If you really want to make a splash with a new pair of basketball shoes, then the Nike Men’s Lebron Witness IV are the shoes for you. No matter which one of the 17 designs and color-schemes you decide on, these shoes are expertly designed, providing a level of color, and stitching which will impress even a casual sneaker-head.
Although we found that some of the color schemes were difficult to match with our casual, everyday clothing, we were able to make-do. However, buyer beware. If you do decide on the black, blue, and red colored one, you may need to ensure it can style and match with whatever else you are wearing.

Adidas has always been known for their casual side, particularly with regards to their more classic black-and-white shoe designs. The famous Adidas three-stripes have emblazoned many of their products and has come to symbolize quality and excellence.
And with the Adidas Harden Stepback, Adidas stuck with a design they are used to and one that continues to evoke fond memories. This may be the ultimate casual basketball shoe, with the traditional Adidas black base and three white stripes.
However, on the backside of the shoe, a breath of new life with interwoven grey stitching and James Harden’s signature logo etched above. Simple, classic, almost surprisingly practical for basketball, these shoes are great for casual, everyday wear and match with just about any other clothing item.
LI-NING Speed Series Men Professional Basketball Shoes
Honestly, it’s not often that we recommend basketball shoes that aren’t manufactured and designed by the likes of Nike, Adidas, Reebok, Under Armour, and even Puma. In fact, I can’t remember the last time we recommended a basketball shoe that wasn’t one of the big five.
But we’re changing that with the LI-NING Speed Series Men Professional Basketball Shoes. While the name is a bit of a mouthful, the shoes are nothing short of extraordinary. Now, while we’ve discussed the best basketball shoes to wear casually, we have been looking at it from an aesthetic perspective.
And while the LI-NING Speed Series is nothing short of excellently designed, with a mashup of colors and designs fluidly embraced amongst one-another, it is also extremely comfortable. In fact, these may just be the most comfortable shoes we’ve ever worn.
To say we’re impressed would be an understatement. These shoes are a testament to continual design trends and comfort enhancements, and they truly take comfort and overall lightweight to another level. A perfect casual shoe and an even more comfortable one than any we’ve tried.
However, these shoes are not for the feint of heart. The design is bold. The colors are explosive. The shoe is definitely meant to be seen. Splashy and colorful, the LI-NING Speed Series sets out to make a name for itself and does so immediately and appropriately.
