However, the SKLZ Kick-Out Basketball Return System is considerably cheaper than the Dr. Dish iC3 Basketball Shot Trainer and you definitely get what you pay for. that is not to say that it is bad or that it doesn’t work well, but rather that you should set your expectations correctly.
Hathaway Rebounder Basketball Return System
The Hathaway Rebounder Basketball Return System is a great middle point between the SKLZ Kick-Out Basketball Return System and the Dr. Dish iC3 Basketball Shot Trainer. Whereas the other two products required installation directly beneath the net, this one does not.
Rather, it is a net like system, attached to the underside of the backboard and weighted down with weights, covering the entire foreground of the area beneath and behind the basket. This helps to ensure that any made or missed shots will fall neatly into the net and roll back to your shooting position.
A simple, clever, and easy design, this product is great as it helps to keep your rhythm with both made and missed shots. Honestly, the only time we really had any issues with use was when we took a shot that was particularly bad and completely missed both the rim and the backboard.
In those situations, you can expect to have to run and chase after the ball. However, if your shot is even slightly on target and is able to even grace the backboard or rim, then this system does a good job at securing the ball and returning it to the original shooter.
An easy solution to an infuriating problem to say the least.
